In March I had a pin-up photo shoot that was set up and it had to be one of my favorites. It was very classic and I had to share it with you. My clients name was Alexis. She came into my studio with her whole house literally. She brought vintage clothing and jewelry from her grandmothers collection which included a few pictures of her grammy from back when her grammy was a pinup girl. She had beach stuff, furniture, kitchenware etc..LOL. Her grammy was her inspiration to do this shoot.
Alexis wanted to be transformed into a retro pinup and she also wanted to preserve the memory that her hair had been colored platinum blonde, she is typically a brunette.
As we set everything up and began to get Alexis ready for her shoot the excitement for all of us grew. As we were creating the first look I knew my camera was going to capture the ultimate pin up girl.
Here is her second outfit she was creating the 1940’s Leave it to beaver house wife.
Now we got her ready for her 2nd hair and makeup look, Alexis wanted to pay tribute to Rosie the Riveter. We added a little different background for her set, we decided to add an american flag in some of her photos as the background.
Alexis did a great job shooting with us, she really embodied the reminiscent past of the 40′ and 50’s.
